Job Responsibilities
- Planning, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment deployed for underground and tunnelling works.
- Monitoring equipment availability, utilization, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordination of repairs, overhauls, and spare parts management to ensure minimum downtime.
- Maintenance of equipment records, service logs, fuel consumption reports, and breakdown analyses.
- Supervision of workshop activities and field mechanical teams.
- Coordination with OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for equipment support and servicing.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly equipment performance reports.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in underground works, tunnelling, hydropower, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience in operation and maintenance of tunnelling and construction equipment such as drill jumbos, shotcrete machines, excavators, loaders, compressors, batching plants, crushers, DG sets, and allied machinery.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, troubleshooting, and equipment management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting systems.
- Ability to manage site workshop operations and mechanical teams independently.
Preferred
- Experience in NATM tunnelling, hydropower, PSP, metro, or underground infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with equipment productivity monitoring, fuel management, and cost control.
