Job Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation and compliance of project HSE policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Monitor high-risk activities including underground excavation, drilling, blasting, shotcreting, lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operations.
- Identify unsafe conditions and practices and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and recommend preventive measures.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, mock drills, and rescue arrangements.
- Ensure availability and proper usage of PPEs and safety equipment across all work fronts.
- Liaise with client representatives, statutory authorities, and project management on HSE matters.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.
- Good communication, reporting, and training skills.
Preferred
- Recognized Safety Qualification such as ADIS, PDIS, Diploma in Industrial Safety, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements and HSE management systems.
