Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation and compliance of project HSE policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including underground excavation, drilling, blasting, shotcreting, lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operations.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and practices and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and recommend preventive measures.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, mock drills, and rescue arrangements.
  • Ensure availability and proper usage of PPEs and safety equipment across all work fronts.
  • Liaise with client representatives, statutory authorities, and project management on HSE matters.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.
  • Good communication, reporting, and training skills.

Preferred

  • Recognized Safety Qualification such as ADIS, PDIS, Diploma in Industrial Safety, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements and HSE management systems.
